Hallo Leuts,

Martin
Hello Guys
Thank you very much for the help. I will contact the relevant people shortly for help.
(Please excuse me for not replying in German, but I cannot speak a word therof, but fortunately make use of a translator on google to make sense of what is said.)
Regards,
Peter.
Hi Peter,
how are you doing with your MB-Trac in South Africa?
Do you need stickers? If you want, I can even write together an offer. Maybe I'll be also in english :-)
Just give me your email address.

Hi Peter !
Mostly of the time the google translator dont give you the right guess what the whole thing should have been ......
so how are you doing with your 1000 ? only working on the 800 ? allready got a engine for your 800 ?
tot siens Franz (from rainy Namibia)
Hi Franz
Nice to hear from you. I am pressing on slowly with the rebuild. Currently only busy with the 800 as it is in a much better overall condition. We have decided to use the 1000 as a donor vehicle for certain parts. Once we have completed the 800 project, we will try and find another 1000 to rebuild as we have our current 1000 as a donor vehicle.
I bought an OM314 out of an old MB800 truck, which I think we will most likely have rebuilt as I do not want to fit it without being 100% certain of its reliability. We modified the sump to fit as I could not source the correct second hand one.
We have already had the bodywork painted and are now busy with the chassis.
I am now currently waiting on a supplier in Germany to get back to me regarding a few other things I need sent here.
It is going to be an expensive excercise but well worth it I believe.
Enjoy the rain.
Cheers
Peter
Hi Peter,
you had sent me an email yesterday.
Unfortunately I accidentally deleted before I read it.
Can you send me again?
