Rear linkage wont lift? -
Tim1300Turbo - 22.07.2018
Greetings from Australia!
I have almost finished my MB Trac 1300Turbo, I hooked the new spray unit up today and filled it with water (1000l), however the rear linkage wont lift? when empty, it lifts and holds the spray tank quite easily, but full of water it wont move it..
Hydraulics work fine on the front linkage and work on the rear when no or minimal load. Oil level is good.
Thank you for any help
Tim

Hello Tim,
first excuse my english.
i can't say, if the linkage is overloaded. It depends not only by the water, further ist the weight of the spray unit und the leverage important.
in your case it makes sense to check if hydraulic pressure is o.k. Connect a monometer with an hydraulic connection, for example the connection where you lift an trailer. I don't know the exact value, but it should be about 180 bar or 2600 psi.
the objectiv ist to find out, if the hydraulic gearpump is worn. A good indicator is, if the value gets down by low speeds and warm machine.
Good luck
Gerhard

Thank you for the response Gerhard,
I removed the tray floor today, and lifted, what I believe is the draft control mechinism? it instantly lifted the weight on the linkage with no issues.
Could it be that the draft control cable has snapped and the draft position was at its lowest?
Im not sure how the system works as Ive only had expierience with the Massey Fergusson draft system?
Regards, Tim

Hello Tim,
I think your problem could be an electronic problem with the EHR (in englisch load sensing?) :
Do you have the EHR system?
In the forum you can find many posts with "EHR-Problem".
also there is a good homepage:
https://www.winci.de/ but also not in english
Here in Germany you would go to an authorised dealer, which has an EHR-check-set.
I would say:
Look at the electric cables and the connectors.
Look at the external push buttons (perhaps disconnect would help).
Sometimes the "Kraftmessbolzen" (force measuring sensor) is damaged or the cable of the sensor is broken.
I can see here in the forum a lot of posts and help.
My MB-Trac has no EHR and so I am not a specialist for this problem.
Good luck for finding the fault!
Best regards,
Franz-Josef from Southern Germany.
