I will recommend you the Nokian TRI2 tyres. I have these tyres on the front on my MBtrac 1500. And on the rear i use Michelin XM108. The Nokian tyres are especially good on snow and slippery roads. I only use chains when there is ice on the road. For extreme conditions we use spikes (12mm diameter)in the tyres too. But like Cliff said, they are expensive.
