    Hello Verner,

on the attached picture you can see the speedometer of my German - 700 MB Trac.

I can see, that my 700 would run about 25 - 30 km/h in the 6th gear depending on the rpm.

In Germany the 8th gear is locked. The 7th gear is open and so I can drive easily 40 km/h.

Are on your 700 the 7th and 8th gear locked?

Perhaps it would be helpful, to give us the vehicle identification number, because with the datas you can see all the specifications of your MB Trac.

(search for Wer kann mir eine Datenkarte mit SA erstellen ?)

I don't know if there are different gearboxes and gear ratios.

Excuse me, that I can not give you some help to open the gearbox and unlock the gear.
