Good day,
I am new to this forum and unfortunately do not speak German. I have a MB Trac 900 with a gearbox problem. To fly the parts to South Africa will cost more than what I paid for the vehicle. Does anyone know of any gearbox conversion on these models? Maybe a more common gearbox that will fit as an replacement.

Is it a 900 with gear levers in the middle of your feet or on the right side ?

if its on the right side you can take a gearbox from a other 900 or 1000, but all trac´s i know in RSA are with shot gearboxes....

so this is the main problem with the tracs, you can send me a private message, may be i have one in Namibia for you, need to talk to my brother.

but anyhow it will cost the same what you paid for the trac :-/ roughly its about for a recon unit between 50.000-70.000 ZAR
